Get To Know Us! Introducing Two New Hydrolats And Bringing Back Lavandin Abrialis!

Get to know us!  Introducing Laurel Leaf and Rosemary verbenone, two new hydrolats, and welcoming back an old favorite...Lavandin abrialis essential oil.

New/Returning Offerings at WOTE

We are expanding our line of hydrolats!  These beautiful products have become increasingly popular...they are great for children and small animals, skin care, wound healing and as a wonderfully effective natural room freshener.  They also make beautiful presents in their 120 ml (4 oz.) cobalt blue spray bottles!

As many of your know, I have a strong love for Laurel Leaf essential oil.  It has been a favorite of mine since I became involved with aromatherapy...and that is over 20 years.  The hydrolat is new for us, and I was so thrilled to find her with such quality and care in production.

Handed down from ancient times for its purifying, stimulating and anti-inflammatory virtues, the bay laurel, also known as sweet bay or true laurel, essential oil comes from a large evergreen shrub grown in the  Mediterranean basin.   Associated with victory, it was once customary to crown victors, poets, scholars and medical students with its leaves. Its name also inspired the term "baccalaureate" (known as a Bachelors Degree in the US, awarded by 4 year colleges).

Aromatic, fresh and strong, our organic Laurel Leaf Hydrolat is known for its stimulating and invigorating effects.  This hydrosol promotes digestion, and, used in cooking, its Provencal flavors will enhance savory dishes, such as ratatouille, grilled vegetables (a summer delight!) or tomato sauces.  Bay Laurel hydrolat is also useful for cleansing and toning the skin.  She is a refreshing touch after exfoliation and is naturally anti-inflammatory.

Although more gentle than the essential oil, the Laurel Leaf hydrolat has a subtle power to bring out our positivity.

Also new to our hydrolat line is beautiful Rosemary verbenone.  Our previous offering was the traditional Rosemary officinalis, and this rare, sophisticated variety offers a wonderful opportunity to explore the Rosemary family a little more.

Our organic Rosemary Verbenone hydrolat is mainly known for its purifying, stimulating and detoxifying virtues. In Europe, it is often sipped "room temperature" to enhance digestion.  In cooking, its refreshing and slightly spicy flavor will accent savory dishes such as soups and stuffed vegetables. And like her "sister" essential oil, Rosemary hydrolat supports healthy, glowing skin and hair.

Get to know our two new hydrolat additions, as well as enjoy some of our other exquisite hydrolats like Rose and Sweet Grass, at 10% off, during our hydrolat promotion Memorial Day Weekend, Friday, May 27 through Monday, May 30.

And finally, I wanted to let you know that we have brought Lavandin abrialis back to Wisdom of the Earth!  I know she is a favorite of many, and, at $26 for a 15 ml bottle, is a cost-effective essence to use in a diffuser for disinfecting a room, or to apply to a burn or bruise.  She is also good for bringing calm to frayed nerves or an overactive mind. Check her out!    https://wisdomoftheearth.com/product/lavandin-albrialis/

Upcoming Class Offerings

With regard to classes taught by Cynthia and me...we will be offering a Level 1 class via Zoom on June 23-24, as well as our five day Level II Advanced Retreat, which will be held in person in early December at a lovely retreat property in Cottonwood, AZ, just a few minutes' drive from the WOTE office in Cornville, AZ.  The Japanese language Level 2 Advanced Retreat will be offered via Zoom before the end of the year, as well.  Please be aware that you must have attended a Level 1 class and become certified by WOTE to be eligible to attend the Advanced Retreat.  So, if you are interested in the December advanced offering, the June class may be a great opportunity to become eligible to go further with us. Please contact Cynthia Olivera, our Education Director, at 928-649-9968 if you have questions or would like to register for any of these offerings.  More details about the Level 1 Certification class in June are on the Wisdom of the Earth website, and information about the Level 2 AZ Advanced class in December will be posted on the site before the end of the week.

We look forward to being with you in these very exceptional experiences, which have been life-changing for so many.

Thank you for reading and we hope to hear from many of you soon!
