Greetings WOTE Family,
I recently had the joy of co-facilitating a workshop in Colorado, where we explored movement, dreaming, and the wisdom of our Sacred Selves through a variety of precious plant essences, and writing. Being surrounded by the mountains near Boulder nourished my spirit, and I was grateful for the opportunity to spend time with my son and his partner. It was certainly warmer than I expected—though still not quite as hot as Cornville!
Throughout the weekend, Palo Santo became our trusted plant ally. Its gentle presence invited us into a state of heart-centered coherence, where the mind softened, the heart opened, and the doorway to conscious dreaming became more accessible. From that place, participants explored their deepest longings for the future, not only for themselves, but for the world.

What moved me most was the nature of their dreams. Many envisioned ways to contribute to humanity: caring for our oceans, supporting charitable foundations, raising consciousness through music, creating heart-centered businesses, and serving their communities with greater love and intention. Palo Santo seemed to help each of us reach beyond the ordinary mind, awakening fresh ideas, renewed hope, and a deeper trust that each person has something meaningful to offer.

As the weekend unfolded, I found myself equally inspired by the people themselves. This community of awakened souls held one another with remarkable generosity and encouragement. There was no competition, only a genuine desire to see each person flourish in their unique calling. It reminded me that transformation is amplified in community.

|
|
|
We are not meant to walk this path alone. We are inherently communal beings, and when we gather with open hearts, something extraordinary happens. We remember one another. We remember ourselves.
The isolation of the pandemic changed many of our habits and ways of connecting. While
technology has allowed us to remain in touch, there is something irreplaceable about sitting together, sharing stories, breathing the same fragrant air, and witnessing one another’s hopes and dreams. Our souls long for authentic connection.

As I drove home reflecting on the weekend, U2’s song One began to play. One line settled deeply into my heart:
“One life, but we’re not the same. We get to carry each other… carry each other.”
Those words felt especially meaningful.
We are living through a time that often feels uncertain and chaotic. Around the world, in the
rhythms of nature, in the movements of the heavens, and within our own hearts, much is being stirred to the surface, asking to be healed. Perhaps our greatest contribution is not to become overwhelmed by the enormity of the world’s challenges, but to lovingly tend the places within ourselves that are calling for wholeness. Every act of healing, every kindness offered, every compassionate conversation creates a ripple that extends far beyond what we can see.
I often ask myself, How can I contribute more light, compassion, and goodness to this world?
For me, the answer continues to reveal itself through the sacred work of essential oils, the ancient practice of anointing, and the simple yet profound gift of heartfelt conversation. These are the ways I have chosen to carry others, and to allow myself to be carried as well.
Perhaps that is how we change the world.
One heart. One gathering. One act of love at a time.

The Teachings of Palo Santo –
A beautiful resin of Light
For centuries, the Indigenous peoples of Ecuador and Peru have honored Palo Santo “Holy Wood” as a bridge between the visible and invisible worlds. Traditionally, it was burned before ceremonies to clear stagnant energies, invite benevolent spirits, and prepare the heart for prayer, healing, and vision. Ancient wisdom teaches that before humanity creates a new world outwardly, we must first dream it inwardly. Palo Santo invites us into that sacred threshold, a place where the heart opens, the soul remembers, and our individual dreams become woven into the greater dream of humanity.

Perhaps the greatest dream we are being asked to remember is not the dream of becoming more for ourselves, but the dream of becoming more for one another. Every act of kindness, every open heart, every hand extended in compassion becomes part of the collective dream that is quietly shaping the future. Palo Santo reminds us that when hearts come into coherence, a new world is no longer just imagined, it begins to take root.
