New Happenings at Wisdom of the Earth! 

As many of you know, I have been co-owner of Wisdom of the Earth Essential Oils since its beginning over 20 years ago.  With my business partner, Barry Kapp, we created Wisdom of the Earth outside of Philadelphia, PA in the late 90s, and moved it to Cornville, AZ (outside of Sedona, AZ) in 2001.  Barry has talked about retiring for a couple of years, and he finally made it official at the end of 2019.  Congratulations, Barry!

I am excited to announce that I am now the sole owner of Wisdom of the Earth, a responsibility I take very seriously, but also approach with much joy and enthusiasm.  I will be keeping Wisdom of the Earth in Arizona, as I feel quite deeply that WOTE "belongs" there.

Our great office staff at Wisdom of the Earth has been so supportive and are excited about some recent changes we have announced, which I am pleased to be able to share with you.

Wisdom of the Earth Level II Advanced Aromatherapy Sacred Retreat      
So many of my Level I Certified students have been asking about timing for the next Level II Retreat....I am so excited to announce that Cynthia Olivera and I will be running this life-changing Retreat April 26 - May 1, 2020, at a beautiful property called Transformation House, nestled in the red rocks of Sedona.  There are a few bed rooms still available for rent in the home, if you would enjoy personal accommodations on site.

This is a 5 day intensive, combining explorations of the beauty and healing power of nature, the profound love and wisdom of the essential oils, and where YOUR own purpose and passion intersect with these worlds.  The Retreat is a perfect opportunity to deepen your relationship with the essences, Mother Earth, the supportive WOTE community, and most important, with the healer and conscious being YOU are.  Wonderful, healthy meals and snacks are provided.  Tuition for the 5 days is $1800, if paid in full at the time of registration; your tuition can also be paid in three installments of $633, for a total of $1899.  Couples or friends registering together will receive a 10% discount.

Some Exciting New Products!  

My desire is to go back to "our roots" and seek out small-scale, artisan farmers/distillers.  Sadly, some of the ones Barry and I found over 20 years ago by driving down small back roads in Provence (France) have retired or sold their businesses to larger, more commercial companies.  I know that, with the new generation of small organic farmers creating great change in the agriculture world, there are some new, inspired young farmers/distillers eager to share their artisan aromatherapy products with companies like mine.  In March, I will be introducing several new offerings that I hope you will be as excited about as I am!  First, I will be introducing Redwood Hydrolat.  One of my wonderful students who is an artisan distiller has been able to harvest Redwood branches from a forest at the head of the Eel river in Northern California.  The energy and power of this hydrolat is incredible.  The Redwoods have been very special to me for decades, and I am so honored to partner with her to bring this amazing product to you.

I have also found a beautiful Sweet Grass essential Oil.  A wonderful Canadian woman macerates her Sweet Grass in Grape Seed Oil for a year, and creates this essential oil from the process;  the aroma and energy make me feel like I am surrounded by a sea of Sweet Grass.  It gives me chills just to think about it!  I was able to obtain a very limited supply of it, so it will likely be offered in a standard size of 5 ml.

My last is actually a product re-introduction.  It just makes me so happy to be able to share this with you!  I have so missed our beautiful Wild Tansy oil, which was discontinued last year, so I am thrilled that I have obtained a limited amount of Wild Tansy from another farmer I was delighted to find after quite a prolonged search! This oil is very robust and powerful, and I think you are going to love her.

Cornville, here we come! 
My last "news" has to do with the physical location of Wisdom of the Earth.  Since the beginning, WOTE has been housed on Page Springs Road.  The office space has evolved over the years, as we have grown, but we were blessed to be nestled in the beautiful hills there.  Barry and Cynthia have listed the property for sale, so we knew we had to change locations at some future time.  "Place" is very, very important to me, and I knew of a very sweet property that was for sale near my home in Cornville.  However, we were not in the position to purchase a property for WOTE at this time, so, unfortunately, it was not an option.  However, recently, the sign was changed from For Sale to...For LEASE!  And, lo and behold, we contacted the owners and were able to sign a lease before we left for New Mexico the next day!  So, we are hoping to move in by the end of February (keep your fingers crossed for us!!), but for sure we will be settled in during March.  We can feel the momentum that is being created by all of these events, and I expect that you can too!  I have been a little "quiet" over the past couple of months, but now I am sure you can see why...lots going on, but no closure until recently.

Please keep us in your thoughts, and know that we will be there for you going forward, just as you have been here for us -- many of you since the beginning.  You can count on it.
