Tresa Laferty is a nationally certified Ayurvedic Practitioner, certified Advanced Medicinal Aromatherapist, certified Reiki Master Teacher, certified Shamanic Animal Healer, Animal Communicator, and founder of Wise Tree Academy. She is also the past president of the Ayurveda Association of Wisconsin.

Raised in the rural hills of eastern Kentucky, Tresa developed an early connection with the natural world that continues to shape her work today. For more than twenty years, she has studied and worked with plant medicine, weaving together Ayurveda, aromatherapy, herbal wisdom, energy healing, and earth-based practices to support the well-being of both people and animals.

Tresa has been teaching Wisdom of the Earth’s foundational aromatherapy training since 2013. Her teaching style is warm, practical, and story-filled, helping students develop confidence in working with the essences while deepening their relationship with the plants. Drawing from her extensive background in Ayurveda, she offers a unique perspective on the energetic and therapeutic qualities of the essences and their role in supporting balance, vitality, and whole-person wellness.

In addition to her work with people, Tresa has a deep passion for and extensive experience using aromatic essences with animals. Her current practice focuses on women’s wellness, hormones, healthy aging, and helping others reconnect with the wisdom of nature through simple, meaningful practices.

Tresa teaches Sacred Botanicals: A Transformational Aromatherapy Immersion (formerly known as Level I) in person at Bohemia Salon & Wellness in Slades Corners, Wisconsin. She also offers special topics classes and online courses through Wise Tree Academy.
