DATE:

April 11-April 11, 2025

Time:

2:00 PM-4:00 PM, The YĀM Healing Arts private residence studio in Camp Verde, AZ. Address is provided upon registration.

Description:

Rachel specializes in a style of teaching called Yin Meridian Meditation. In this class you can expect to hold postures for longer periods of time in meditative stillness and deep relaxation. The healing effects of this practice take place deep within the connective tissues, the joints, the energy channels, and the subconscious and emotional body for newfound freedoms in body and mind. This practice will focus on softening deep seated tension and tending to the wood element within. The liver and the gallbladder are the organs associated with this element and they are concerned with smooth harmonious flow in body and mind. This element supports activated growth with a slow and steady pace. To honor the season and tend to this element within, we will be exploring the inner work of spring cleaning through meditative yin practices and discovering how to cultivate sustainable growth and transformation with the stability of our wood element. This immersive class invites the body to release patterns of pain or disharmony through gentle asana, stillness, breath, and awareness – allowing our spirit to rise and expand gently with the support of our practice and intention. Aromatherapy will be added to the practice to enhance this internal process and experience. Class will close with a Yoga Nidra and a short neck/scalp massage while in Savasana. Seasonal tea will be served after class as a traditional offering.

The healing effects of this practice take place deep within the connective tissues, the joints, the energy channels, and the subconscious and emotional body for newfound freedoms in body and mind. This practice will focus on softening deep seated tension and emotional guarding around the heart center and tending to the fire element within from a yin perspective. The physical heart and the large intestines are the organs associated with this element and they are concerned with emotional harmony, positive self-image & one’s ability to recognize a felt sense of their Dharma. The fire element holds our joy and passions, yet on overdrive can lead to burnout, exhaustion and emotional disharmonies. To honor the season and tend to this element within, we will be exploring the inner work of softening the heart & illuminating what brings us true joy through meditative/yin practices. This immersive class invites the body to release patterns of pain or disharmony through gentle asana, stillness, breath, and awareness. Aromatherapy will be added to the practice to enhance this internal process and experience. Class will close with a Yoga Nidra and a short neck/scalp massage while in Savasana.
