Living from the Inside Out: Celebrate Your Authenticity!

We have been thinking about embracing the invitation to change that each new year brings…and this year is no different. Some are facing dramatic change, others are inviting that in.  Some of us are seeking to fine tune…our outlook, our behavior, our external situation.  Regardless, the energy at this time of year is supportive of considering how we can make choices, large or small, that can make our lives more authentic, more aligned with our deepest personal beliefs and priorities.

In a world filled with the constant noise of television, social media, and the well-meaning but often overwhelming opinions of those around us, the most radical act you can perform is listening to your inner voice.

It is my personal belief that when you choose to “march to the beat of your own drummer,” you reclaim your agency. Whether the path ahead leads to a triumph you can wholeheartedly embrace or a challenge you can peacefully accept, there is an unmatched power in knowing that your life is the result of actions you chose for yourself.

To live authentically is to engage in a heart-felt dialogue with your inner knowing. Mother Nature has a unique way of supporting the sometimes difficult challenge of living an authentic life.  Over and over again we have heard stories from our clients about how the consistent use of essential oils…Nature’s plant allies…has given them a focus and a clarity that had eluded them before. For those of you who know my history…how I came to know and love essential oils and, as a result, embarked on a completely different life path…you know that that is my story, too.

In the natural world, nothing pretends to be anything other than what it is. The loon sings its haunting tune and the spider weaves its intricate web, each expressing their true nature without hesitation. When we incorporate pure essential oils—real plant essences into our daily rituals, we begin to attune ourselves to that same frequency of truth. These botanicals carry the unfiltered intelligence of the Earth; their purity invites our own purity, and their clarity beckons our clarity.

In a world dominated by the noise of social media and the expectations of others, the most radical act you can perform is listening to your inner voice. It is my personal belief that “marching to the beat of your own drummer” leads to a more fulfilling life. When your outcomes are the result of actions you chose for yourself, you can embrace your successes and accept your challenges with a peaceful heart.

We invite you to explore our Essential Oil & Hydrolat Collection to help you tune out the chorus and tune back into your center.

A Note on Black Cumin: Mother Nature never repeats herself exactly, and we love her for it!  Our current Black Cumin is  a recent batch from our farmer in Egypt.  Long-time customers may notice slight aromatic and taste variations reflecting the season’s soil and moisture conditions. The WOTE team found the taste of the initial sample to be beautifully consistent with our previous batch,  and we know that its restorative “blessing” is as powerful as ever. Thank you for honoring the living, changing spirit of the plants with us…as you know our philosophy is to embrace batch differences due to the plants’ adaptation to environmental conditions, rather than artificially  add to or subtract from the oil’s chemical composition to achieve identical aroma, flavor and consistency across different batches.
