Summer Greetings WOTE Family,
I love trees! I have been thinking a lot about them recently. I watched an interview the other day with Ellen Dee Davidson, who wrote the book, Sacred Forest Bathing,  and who lives near and goes into old-growth forests to commune with the trees. One of Davidson’s central teachings is that trees are not merely scenery; they are conscious presences that invite us into relationship. She describes forest bathing as a way to cultivate receptivity, intuition, creativity, and deep listening. Through repeated visits to a beloved place in nature, we begin to perceive the forest as a living community and a source of wisdom.

The forest is inviting us to remember something ancient. Through stillness, presence, and relationship with the trees, we rediscover our place within the living web of life. The trees become teachers of patience, resilience, beauty, and belonging.
While nothing can truly replace the experience of standing among ancient trees, feeling the earth beneath your feet, and breathing the living air of an old-growth forest, tree essences offer us a sacred doorway into that relationship wherever we are.

We can create a forest bathing experience with our incredible collection of tree essences for a more harmonious, balanced, receptive, and alive state of being. Each drop contains the signature, intelligence, and wisdom of the tree itself. When we inhale a tree essence with reverence and attention, we begin to enter into a conversation. We slow down. We listen. We remember.

Try placing a few drops of a beloved tree essence in your palms. Rub your hands together and cup them gently over your nose. Take three slow breaths. Allow the aroma to travel through the olfactory pathways into the limbic brain and throughout the body. Notice what arises. Feel the relaxation and calming of your nervous system. You can also diffuse or bathe in several of the essences. Try bathing in a few drops of White Spruce, White Fir, and White Pine essential oil and see if you can sense the wisdom that these trees have to offer you.

The trees are the great elders of the plant kingdom. Through their essences, they continue their ancient work, rooting us in the Earth, lifting us toward the stars, and teaching us how to stand in the beauty of our own becoming.
