November Wisdom of the Earth Promotion: Let Us Give Thanks

Welcome to our November promotion!   This month we are recognizing that, even with the turmoil, both global and personal, many of us are experiencing, we still have much to be grateful for.  So, it is a simple encouragement:  “Let Us Give Thanks”.

We are thankful for you, our wonderful customers, distributors and Wisdom of the Earth teachers.  You know who you are, and we appreciate your trust in us and your belief in the powerful Earth medicine carried by pure, plant essential oils.

Once again, here is the “administrative” side of participating in our monthly Promotions.   Please read these instructions, even if you have participated before, as some ordering  aspects may have changed.

1.  The 40% off promotional offer on these select items runs this Friday, November 21st, starting at 12:01 am, and ends Sunday, November 23rd at midnight, Mountain Standard Time.  Insurance is included in the shipping cost, which covers leakage, damage or loss.

2.  If you normally order through your Wisdom of the Earth teacher or distributor, please do so for this promotion.  You will receive the same 40% discount you would receive ordering directly from us, and doing so honors the ongoing relationship you have with our representative. They are also able to advise if you have questions regarding whether something would be helpful for you, and how to apply it most effectively for the use you have in mind, etc.

3.  We have programmed the site to reflect the 40% off prices for these ten items; for reference, the regular price is shown in the product descriptions below.  When you place an order for any of these 10 products, the discounted price will be applied automatically.  No coupons are necessary.

4.  The name of each product in the descriptions below is a link to the product on our website’s on-line store, if you want to go directly to it, or you can just make a list of the ones you are interested in as you read through the descriptions, and use the search function on the website to take you to them.  The picture of each plant, with the name of the product in the center that accompanies the description is also a “link”, and if you click on the name it will take you to that product’s location in the e-store as well.

5.  The promotional pricing cannot be combined with any other discount you may qualify for on these 10 items (for example, our 10% discount for locals), however if you wish to include other regularly priced items in your order,  just enter your regular discount code, and it will be applied to the other, non-promotional products.

6.  Please remember, these promotions result in lots of orders in a short amount of time, so we appreciate your patience, as it may take considerably longer than usual to process and ship promotional orders.  If you have not received notice by email that your order has shipped by Tuesday, December 2nd,  please contact us so we can research the status of your order.

7.  Important!  If you experience any problems placing your order during the promotion, let me know via the website Contact Us form, or send me an email at [email protected] explaining the issue.  If we can’t get back to you until after the promotion, we will still honor the promotional pricing if you have contacted us during the promotional period.

There may be some products in the Promotion you have never heard of…this is a great opportunity to try something you have not used before.  There are also a number of customer favorites (and one of my favorites…Sugandha Kokila (White Cinnamon)…) in the group.   As always, we will highlight the healing properties of each product; for your broader information, cultural and spiritual aspects of these beautiful offerings will be noted, as well.

Please note: Since WOTE only offers pure, single, undiluted essential oils, unlike the vast majority of companies out there, they can be considerably more potent than the average person is used to.   Also, we have had several questions from new customers about usage, so we will provide some general guidelines (see below) and also touch on usage, where appropriate, in each description.  These guidelines and techniques are covered in depth in our Level 1 Medicinal Aromatherapy classes, but we are now reaching a larger audience, so we want to be responsive to that.

General Guidelines:  We do not recommend taking essential oils internally; the most effective therapeutic mode of use is topically, over the area of concern (e.g., over the stomach, if digestive issues occur).  A few drops in a bottle of water is fine, but normally, we advise topical application, going to the soles of the feet if an essence is hot (temperature-wise) or skin sensitive/photo-sensitive.

A good rule of thumb for an average adult is 5-7 drops of an oil; for children over 12, 3–4 drops; below 12, 1-2 drops on the soles of the feet.  Remember, the body only absorbs/utilizes about 50%, on average, of the oil applied (just as when you take a vitamin, you do not actually receive 100% of its total benefit, but actually 50-75%+ depending upon a number of factors, e.g., dietary fat, molecular structure).

The Science of Vitamin Absorption: How Much of Your Dietary Vitamins Do You Actually Absorb?

Please do not hesitate to consult with your Wisdom of the Earth aromatherapist, or contact us, if you have questions about application or usage.  We are happy to give product information, but if a health situation is complicated or serious, we would suggest you consult your health professional or schedule a consultation with Cynthia Olivera or Audre Gutierrez
